Why can't I hear anything when I click a link?
If your computer has a soundcard, your speakers are turned on and you still can't hear anything, you probably haven't installed the Flash plug-in for your browser. You can download the plug-in
here for free.
Does hoaxcall.com collect the telephone numbers users enter here?
Telephone numbers are stored in a database for two weeks because we think it's enough to play a prank on someone once within two weeks. During this time, you will not be able to reach the same number again. We do not use the telephone numbers for any other purpose.
Will the call I'm making via hoaxcall.com be broadcast live on the Internet?
No. Every call is made directly between you and your calling partner. Nobody else can listen in on the call.
What technology is hoaxcall.com based on?
A few programs and scripts written in Visual Basic, C#, C++ and ActionScript.
This is all free, right?
Yes. The website is only ad sponsored. For later we plan premium accounts with a wide choice of different calling scenarios
How many lines are there?
Exactly 100. In June 2007 we started a similar portal in Germany with 5 lines. Big mistake!
